Performed on November 29th and November 30th, 2014 at The Weber Center
At first the grandfather is irritated at the prospect of taking care of Heidi, but soon his hardened heart softens and he learns to love Heidi. She in turn grows attached to her grandfather, her new friend Peter the goat herder, the mountains, and the small village huddled in its shadows. Just when life is good, Heidi is whisked away to Frankfurt by her aunt where she has been promised to be a companion to a wheel chair bound girl named Klara Sessman. The beautiful story telling of classical ballet will draw you into the excitement, near tragedy and the power of inner strength, selflessness, and love which will transform characters in this lovely production of Heidi.
